The Cook-off for the Coast celebrates the bounty of Southeast Louisiana and raises awareness about coastal restoration. Proceeds from the 2023 Cook-Off will benefit the Chandeleur Living Shoreline Project and Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana’s Restoration Programs.
Robust, large-scale restoration projects, along with coastal protection and community resilience measures, are our best solutions for reducing land loss, and protecting our communities, our culture and the diversity of ecosystems that provide so much of the food we love.
Recipes from the Gulf Coast is an online community cookbook celebrating Mississippi River Delta culture and the many meals to come. It features recipes from home cooks; stories of the people who live, work and eat here; and ideas for what we can do to save our coast.
Thank you for attending Cook-Off For the Coast and please sign up to get all the best recipes shared from that event and other featured recipes on Recipes from the Gulf Coast.

Chef Toups grew up hunting and fishing in the marshes and swamps near his hometown of Rayne, Louisiana, where his family has lived for over 300 years. The food he serves at his two New Orleans restaurants celebrates the rich bounty that Louisiana’s diverse coastal habitats provide and the culinary traditions passed down for generations.
Randolph’s Broiled Seafood
The dish, once featured at Randolph’s Restaurant in Golden Meadow, holds a special place in the heart (and stomach) of many seafood lovers.
